Balancing two materials

A pale stone top and an enclosed timber base bring different surfaces into one calm silhouette. Colour is only part of that relationship. Compare the width of the base, the visible overhang and the space left at floor level together. A complete product view helps explain those proportions before finishes are selected.

Marking the seating points

Mark the intended chairs on the plan before choosing an enclosed base. Check knee space and foot space separately, especially at the table ends. A generous-looking top does not automatically provide comfortable seating everywhere: the base position influences which parts of the edge can actually be used comfortably.

Reviewing samples together

When discussing stone and timber options with Aslan Atelier, examine both samples together under the same light. Their tones may support one another differently beside the actual floor. Use physical samples and the room context for the final choice; a photographed combination is a reference for proportion and character, not a colour guarantee.
