Following the edge

On a timber table with a fine frame, the line between the top and legs can appear continuous. That restrained geometry can sit quietly beside a textured wall or patterned floor. Assess more than the photograph: request the section dimensions and connection details before deciding how fine the construction actually is.

Trying the chairs alongside it

The frame beneath the edge can meet a chair arm at exactly the wrong height. Seat height alone will not answer that question. Compare the top of the arm with the clear space below the table, and try the actual chair where possible, so the two pieces work together in use.

Choosing the everyday view

When selecting a table with Aslan Atelier, remember that a fine outline reads differently from each side. Compare views from the entrance, kitchen and sitting area. The table should feel balanced during ordinary movement around the home, not only from the carefully chosen angle of a dining photograph.
