Trying more than one position
Do not judge an adjustable lounger only at its upright or fully flat setting. Reading, sitting briefly and stretching out ask different things of the back support. Try the available positions and observe both the adjustment mechanism and how the cushion behaves as the back changes angle.
Leaving room for movement
A reclining back may change the space occupied by the lounger. Do not position it against a wall, planter or second piece using only the closed dimensions. Mark the full movement envelope on the layout so changing the back position does not require rearranging the furniture each time.
Thinking through the daily routine
