Keeping a horizontal line

A low, elongated outdoor table creates an uninterrupted line in front of a seating group. It can sit calmly with low sofas, but the silhouette is only the beginning. Try setting down a cup and picking up a plate to understand how far a seated person actually needs to reach.

Walking around the ends

Rounded ends give the table a softer outline, but they do not replace adequate circulation space. Mark its actual outer dimensions and try the route into the seating group. Checking with cushions in place and chairs in use reveals more than measuring an otherwise empty terrace.

Keeping the top useful

In an Aslan Atelier selection, distinguish the working part of the table from the part used for display. If a few objects fill the whole top, everyday use becomes awkward. For outdoor seating in Kalkan or Kaş, retain a clear surface for the things people actually bring to the table.
