A surface that lets the view through
A mesh seat allows some of the light and lines behind it to remain visible. In the photograph, a timber frame and pale mesh give a tall stool a relatively light appearance. This relationship can be useful when considering a row of seats in front of a Kalkan terrace view. Look at the piece from the front, side and rear to understand its presence in the room.
Appearance and the seated experience
Colour alone does not explain comfort. Try the tension of the seat, the angle of the back and the frame edges that touch the body. For a bar or counter stool, easy access to the foot support also affects the experience.
