Leather care cannot be decided from descriptions such as brown or pale alone. Surface treatment and the maker’s instructions may differ between products. When a new piece arrives, keep the product code, leather description and relevant care document together so the correct information remains easy to find later.
Noticing everyday contact
Observe how the seat meets clothing, arms and surrounding textiles. If a change appears, review the existing instructions before trying a succession of different products. Recording the names of products already used also makes it easier to explain the surface history if you later need advice from the supplier.
Preparing a useful enquiry
